Franz Michel

Born in Tourcoing in the north of France, Franz Michel enters the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 1980 where he obtains a prize in Specialized Music theory, the 1st prize of Piano unanimously, a prize of accompaniment and a prize in chamber music. Meanwhile he studies music writing, harpsichord, conducting and composition of film music.

He also obtained the first prize at the European Contest “Claude Kahn”, the first prize of Franco-Italian Contest in Paris and was also awarded by the Maurice Ravel’s International Academy in Saint-Jean de Luz.

Franz Michel is the supersolist of the Orchestre National de France and a regular musician for the Octuor de France in France.
